My step father Roy has had leukemia for over 3 years now and has gone through multiple rounds of chemo-radiation therapy leaving him extremely tired and unable to do his daily chores. I have suffered from horrible stomach pains for the better part of seven years. In November of 2004, my wife convinced me to have my stomach scoped despite my protests that I was too young to have stomach problems. I was convinced my problems were just from eating too much, too quickly, but my wife put her foot down this time! The results of the scope revealed several ulcers and doctors recommended I try all sorts of medication. I went from Nexium, to Prilosec, to Gaviscon, to Zantac, but nothing seemed to work. My ulcers would sometimes be much worse than other times, but always after each meal I could count on extreme stomach pain anywhere between one to four hours. I started my business on February 14, 2006. My husband & I started on one shake a day. My husband went from 220 to 213 in two weeks and then went to 2 shakes per day. I had my measurements at the gym this afternoon. I am glad to report that my body fat dropped from 26% to 21% (our goal was 22%), abdomen is 1.75" smaller, chest is about .5" smaller, arms are .5" smaller and have toned up quite a bit, upper legs are .5" larger (from muscle), calfs are about .5" smaller, neck is .5" smaller & I have lost a little over 2 lbs. I’ve always had thoughts running through my mind about getting in shape and losing weight. I tried different diets but they just didn’t work and I just seemed to become more tired and depressed.
